Family Life for Childrens Ministry

We welcome Emily Whitehill to her new ministry as Team Leader in Family Life for Children. This summer we had the opportunity to get to know Emily as she served as an intern with children’s ministries. She comes to us from Barnet, Vermont where she was instrumental in organizing a children’s ministry program at her church. She has also served as and Assistant Director of Children’s Ministry in Palm Desert, California and Sunday School Coordinator at a church in Silver Spring, Maryland. Emily’s love for Jesus and children is infectious and she brings lots of imagination and energy to her work.  She loves reading, theatre, juggling travel, and the color pink. You can visit Emily in her office on the second floor of the Ministry Center or call her at 541-5676, ext 114, or email her at: ewhitehill@chpc.org

Missi Kershner, Jessica North, Larry Peterson: We are pleased to announce that we have filled the Director of Family Life for Youth and Young Adults position with three interim part-time people until we can identify and employ a single full time person. Mrs. Missi Kershner, serving as ‘Interim Director,’ Ms. Jessica North, ‘Interim Junior High Leader,’ and Larry Peterson, ‘Interim Senior High Leader.’ Missi is taking this position as she has been passionately leading the Christian Discipleship Ministry Leadership Team, as well as the search team for a new full time Director for this position. She feels accountability for the youth program moving forward, in face of the thwarted search efforts to date. Jessica has been involved in the youth ministry of the church for some time, has grown up in the church, and has served as summer intern. Larry served this summer as an intern, and is a student at Cincinnati Bible College. All positions are a nominal 15 hours/week paid position. Please welcome all in ministry here at CHPC.
