LEGO Robotic Team at The Rock
In collaboration with Xavier University and Aiken High School,
the LEGO Robotics team is for ages 9 to 14. 15 year olds serve
as mentors and coaches. The team competes once a year against
41 area teams to be selected to go to the state and national competition.
They develop team mini-challenges that build foundational skills.
The national competition challenges our young members academically
through presentation requirements on advanced annual themes i.e.
nanotechnology, space exploration, renewable technology. The team
meets every other Wednesday at the ROCK in off season from 4 until
about 6:30, and twice weekly during the Fall competition event.
