Diaspora Communion

Mission:

Diaspora Communionto take communion to the home bound, those in hospitals, and those in health care centers

The Cup and the Loaf of the Sacrament are consecrated in the Sanctuary at College Hill Presbyterian Church on the sabbath day. They are present as the pastor gives his message of hope and love. They hear the singing of the choir, the prayers offered in reverence before God, and the affirmations of faith of all the people.

Diaspora Communion Callers go to CHPC family members in the true presence of the Lord in the holy meal, still fresh from the holy atmosphere of worship and the reenactment of the last supper of our Savior and His disciples. Callers also seek to bring the love and healing prayers of the CHPC family of faith in the name of our redeemer, Jesus Christ.

Time Commitment:
first Sunday of each month
Requirements: Ten groups of Deacons and Elders serve communion
