to help young women
frustrated by sexual pressures.
Founded in 1986 at the
request of young women and supported primarily by individual donations,
T.A.P.S. was the first abstinence-based pregnancy prevention program
in Cincinnati. Ninety percent of T.A.P.S. graduates have avoided
premature parenthood and remained in school. Recent increases in
requests for T.A.P.S. services reinforce the belief that the war
against teen pregnancy is winnable. T.A.P.S. will come and present
a program for a church and they have developed an abstinence curriculum
currently used in some area schools.
